Carteret Douglas

Is anyone knowledgeable about 18th Century Covent Garden? Can you help in the search for information about Carteret Douglas (born around 1720). I have been unable to find any birth or death registration for her, despite years of research. Carteret Douglas was the name she put on her marriage certificate when she was married in St. Paul’s Covent Garden on 19th October 1744 to James Broadley a sea Captain from Dover. She lived a comfortable life in Dover until his death in 1752. She then remarried, again at St. Paul’s Covent Garden, to a man named John Booth on the 18th March 1756. I suspect Carteret is not her true name. ‘Mother Douglas’ does come to mind, but I can only find reference to one child of hers which does not fit the profile of Carteret.
